THCA shops in the Carolinas: what a 'dispensary' sign means and what to check
Short answer
Neither North nor South Carolina licenses marijuana stores, so outside tribal land a 'THCA dispensary' in either state is a hemp shop. That can be a fine place to buy. Before paying anywhere, check the lab report, the lot code, total THC and the price per gram. We are not a dispensary: we take orders online and confirm each one by phone.
Checked Oct. 4, 2026.
Search for a THCA dispensary in Charlotte, Raleigh, Fayetteville or Myrtle Beach and the shops you find are hemp shops. Neither state licenses marijuana stores; cannabis on tribal land in western North Carolina runs under the tribe’s own law, not the state’s. Hemp shops vary, some careful and some not. This page is a checklist for telling them apart. It works the same in any town.
We are not a dispensary
We are an online flower shop with no storefront in either state. You choose from the menu, send an order, and an Operator calls you to confirm it. We use the same checklist on ourselves: every product page shows the lab values we hold for its lot.
Six checks for any Carolina shop
- The lab report for this lot. Not a report for the strain, or last year’s harvest. The lot or batch code on the report should match the jar or bag.
- Total THC. Delta-9 THC plus 0.877 times THCA (7 CFR 990.1). High-THCA flower shows a low delta-9 figure and a high total. Both numbers belong on the label.
- The lab’s name and the test date. A report with no lab name, or one from long before the flower was packed, does not prove much.
- Price per gram. An eighth (3.5 g) and a half pound (226.8 g) only compare once you divide. Shops that post per-gram prices make that easy.
- An age check. A careful shop asks for ID. We sell only to adults 21 and over and may ask for ID at delivery.
- A straight answer about the law. A shop should not tell you a product is legal everywhere. Each state decides, and the federal rule changes on December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, sec. 781; H.R. 6500).
Shop or order: which fits
| You want | Better fit |
|---|---|
| To smell the flower before buying | A local shop |
| A gram or an eighth today | A local shop |
| A half pound or a pound at a clear per-gram price | An order here |
| To read the lab values before you commit | Either, if the shop shows them |
For larger amounts, see the half pounds for the Carolinas. For how an order gets to your door, read getting THCA flower to a Carolina address.

Common questions
- Are there THCA dispensaries in North Carolina?
- There are hemp shops that use the word dispensary on the sign. The state does not license marijuana dispensaries, so the word tells you nothing about who checks the shop.
- Is there a THCA dispensary in South Carolina?
- Hemp shops in South Carolina sometimes call themselves dispensaries. South Carolina has no licensed marijuana stores, so treat the sign as a name, not a licence.
- Are you a dispensary?
- No. We are an online flower shop. You send an order on the site and an Operator calls to confirm it; there is no shop to visit.
- What should I ask a hemp shop before buying THCA flower?
- Ask for the lab report for the exact lot, check that its code matches the jar, and look at total THC, the lab's name, the test date and the price per gram.
